After a very long hiatus, I’m resuming my 52 Paintings project and intend on completing the year with 52 paintings. I have a little way to catch up, but plan on having some more marathon weekends where I can devote myself to getting this done. I hope you enjoy these as I really enjoy learning new things about using Painter X and Photoshop to make these paintings. Your comments are greatly appreciated.

This base runner is trying to get back to first base to avoid being picked off of first base, while the first baseman is awaiting the pick-off throw from the pitcher.

This was from a recent baseball game that I attended.

My friend Leslie makes the BEST bread. She grinds her own wheat and uses the freshest ingredients for the best tasting bread I’ve ever had. She helped me to design the photograph that I took, which I used to make this painting. Mmmmmm…I love fresh-baked bread. 52 Paintings is my challenge to create a painting per week for 2009. I’m hoping to learn some new skills and techniques along the way. My tools of choice are Painter X, Photoshop CS3 and my Wacom tablet (couldn’t do it without it!).

This is a painting that I did from my photograph of my son, who will be 13 on his next birthday. Oh what an exciting time we have coming with a teenager in the house!!

This is a a re-do of my Week 9 painting…I’m not sure if I’m completely finished with this or not. With each week, I’m actually learning a little more about the process and starting to feel a little more comfortable with the tools and brushes that I’m using.
