52 Paintings Week 11 Easter Bunny Hug

I was at the Streets of Indian Lake on Saturday taking photos of the Easter bunny and any child who could steel up the courage to go sit with him. This little girl was not one of those who was brave enough to sit on his lap. When it was time to cut the cake which was made to celebrate the Streets birthday (it’s now a year old), she just couldn’t stay away from him. It was so sweet to see her give this hug and I was lucky to have my camera with me. I quickly put my slice of cake down and got this picture. I thought it would be a great topic for this week’s painting. Please let me know if you like it, your comments are always welcomed and appreciated.

FYI: Photos with the Easter Bunny will be taken again on APRIL 4th, from 11 to 2-ish at the Streets of Indian Lake, so please let everyone know, especially those with little ones. Pictures are available on-site and are only $5 each. A portion of this fee will benefit The Optimist Club of Hendersonville.

Merry Christmas Miracle Baby

This is Evelyn and she’s a beautiful little miracle baby. Evelyn’s mom brought her big sister Rosalyn in for pictures Christmas 2007. I asked mom and dad if they had plans for a little sister for Rosalyn and they said that they had been trying for 2 years with no luck. I wished them good luck and may have mentioned that I would say a prayer for them. Wouldn’t you know it? I recently heard from mom and she told me all about Evelyn, their miracle baby. It wasn’t very long after mom and dad left the studio that they found out that mom was pregnant. Evelyn was born with some serious complications that I can’t spell or prounounce and was on a respirator for some time. She is doing much better now and is such a little miracle. She’s a bright, beautiful and happy little girl and mom and dad couldn’t be more thrilled that Rosalyn is getting to celebrate this Christmas with her new little sister.

Due to all of the activities around Christmas, it is best to schedule these sessions on Sunday. There are several on the waiting list for next time, so please contact me soon.

Underwater Photos at Seastar Swim School

I’m doing some underwater sessions for some of the students at Seastar Swim School in Hendersonville, TN on Sunday, November 23rd at 1:00. This is by appointment only, with each session lasting about 15 minutes. Come and get in the pool with your little swimmer and we’ll do our best to get some great photos for you to remember this time in their life. Here are a couple of samples from recent sessions:

Okay, I need some help. I would like to increase my business with maternity and babies and am making this BOLD offer. Woman Sings While Giving Birth

Okay, you have to admit that this is both just a little different and mostly incredibly cool. These are my friends Temple and Brent who recently gave birth to their son Koa at their home. This is not the first time that they’ve home-birthed, but I bet it’s the first time they birthed a 10-lb baby at their home! Temple has a most amazing singing voice and it’s amazing that she held it all together while experiencing a couple of contractions. I hope you like the video.
